WHERE CAN I PURCHASE OSEL TICKETS?
Tickets of all types may be purchased from a bus driver, at Solomou Square kiosk and from OSEL heat office.
WHERE ARE OSEL OFFICES LOCATED AND AT WHAT TIMES ARE THEY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
OSEL offices are located at Lykavitou Avenue 93, 2401 Egkomi. They are open to the public from Monday to Thursday between 08:00 and 16:30 and on Friday between 08:00 and 16:00.
WHAT MATERIALS OR OBJECTS ARE NOT PERMITTED ONBOARD OSEL BUSES?
The transport of weapons, explosives, inflammable materials, hazardous, sharp, poisonous, contaminant or malodorous materials, items or objects, or the transport of objects or luggage whose size causes nuisance to passengers or could cause damage to the vehicle, or objects in general which could place the physical well-being of passengers at risk, is prohibited.
IS IT PERMITTED TO TRANSPORT ANIMALS ONBOARD OSEL BUSES?
a. Transportation of small pets is allowed as long as they are kept inside safe travel cages (70x40x50cm) and are accompanied by their owners or keepers at all times.
b. Guide dogs with a lease can travel without a muzzle or being in a cage, regardless of their size.
c. Dog owners or keepers, when traveling with their pets, are obliged to carry the pet’s health booklet at all times.
IS IT PERMITTED TO TRANSPORT LUGGAGE ONBOARD OSEL BUSES?
The transportation of luggage is permitted as long as its owner can carry it without requiring assistance. Luggage must be placed in the open areas of the bus not in the aisles or in front of passenger entry-exit points not to obstruct the movement of other passengers. Smaller items of baggage, such as backpacks, must be carried by hand and not worn on the shoulders. Shopping trolleys are permitted on board at the discretion of the driver or other authorised officer of the Organisation, depending on how full the vehicle is and taking into account passenger safety.
Passengers carrying luggage may only board/alight from the bus via the middle doors. In all the above cases, passengers must stay next to their luggage and ensure that no injury or nuisance is caused to other passengers.
IS IT PERMITTED TO TRANSPORT CHILDREN΄S PUSHCHAIRS ONBOARD OSEL BUSES?
Baby pushchairs may be transported on board buses provided they are folded up. If that is not possible, or if the accompanying person wishes the child to remain seated in the pushchair, the decision is up to the driver of the bus and depends on how full the vehicle is.
In any event, the person accompanying the pushchair is obliged:
· To board / alight from the bus via the middle doors.
· To position the pushchair in such a way that it does not prevent other passengers moving around inside the vehicle.
· To stay next to the pushchair, at all times and in general to ensure that no injury or nuisance is caused to other passengers.
· To ensure the child is secured and the pushchair has its brakes on.
IS IT PERMITTED TO TRANSPORT BICYCLES ONBOARD OSEL BUSES?
The transport of bicycles on board buses is prohibited.
By exception, folding bicycles (up to 20”) may be carried onboard provided they are placed inside a special carrying case secured with straps and without protruding mechanical parts, and that the safe transport of passengers is not placed at risk.
The owners of such folding bicycles stored inside a carrying case must remain next to their bicycles and ensure that no injury or nuisance is caused to other passengers.

I WANT TO PURCHASE A ANNUAL TRAVEL CARD, WHAT DO I NEED AND WHOM SHOULD I CONTACT?
You can purchase a yearly card from OSEL offices at 93, Lykavitou Avenue 2401, Egkomi. If you are entitled to a discount fare (student, social card holders) you must also present valid proof of entitlement. For more information please call 22468088.
IS THERE ANY PRINTED MATERIAL ABOUT THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY OSEL AND WHERE CAN I GET IT?
Periodically, maps are provided free of charge to passengers at OSEL bus stations or at the Organisation’s headquarters (93, Lykavitou Avenue, 2401 Egkomi). Maps, informational material and other relevant data may be found on OSEL’s website: www.osel.com.cy
